Homelessness Lobby Day in Tallahassee April 6-7, 2010
Unitarian Universalist Legislative Day is coming! Tuesday and Wednesday, 2010, April 6-7, we'll be bringing the voice of Unitarian Universalist values to the state legislative halls in Tallahasee. It begins at the UU Church of Tallahassee at 6:00pm on Tuesday April 6, where we'll have dinner and learn about issues and strategies. The following day, Wednesday April 7, we'll be in the state capital visiting with our representatives to press our case!
The UULMF is partnering, as we did last year, with the Florida Coalition for the Homeless, and homelessness issues will be the special focus of this year's Legislative Day.
Ride sharing: If you need a ride, so indicate on the form below, and we shall try to put you in touch with others with whom you can share a ride.
Home hospitality: Members of our Tallahassee church are graciously providing lodging in their homes for the night of April 6 to many, if not all out-of-town Unitarian Universalists participating in Legislative Day.
Please sign up for Legislative Day by Friday, March 19, 2010, using the form below. Someone from UULMF's Event Coordinating Committee will get back to you prior to March 26 so you can make a hotel or motel reservation if we are unable to offer you housing.
Thanks for being part of Florida Legislative Day 2010!
